It's hard to believe...that time has come and gone so fast. I too, can remember driving around with the tape player blasting Gut Level Music! OH...those were the days..and we were gonna change the world. We did, in some ways, change the world! I'm a mama of four now..Still cool..I think! My fourteen year old didn't think so..until last week that is. He and his cousins have turned our basment into a continuous jam session. It's so much fun to listen to those boys play their hearts out. It brings back so many memories. I surprised them with an Altar Boys CD. I had told them about the Altar Boys, and what they did for Christian Music..back in the day. I didn't really have anyone to compare them to..and I wanted the boys to hear it for themselves, so I purchased a copy on the interent...of Gut Level Music (my tapes had been done in long ago). You should have seen their faces when the first track came on. They LOVED it. Every song. My boys tried to get the image of me...being an ALtar Boys kind of girl...but it didn't work in their minds. What did work...was the music. I think I may have started something over here in Illinois. Before you know it..the whole block might need to purchase a Gut Level Music CD. It's strange..over here in 2006...to see the kids on the street skating to "Hearts Lost in KnowWhere." It is truly timeless. Hearing "unconditional Love" being played from my teens I pod...well...thats something. The funny thing is I haven't forgotten a single word myself. It was all in there...amongst the years of life's lessons...and the lyrics most of all are still strong...and true...and gut level. The kids ate it up! I looked all over to find a place to contact some of the band memebers...wanted you all to know that well, you still got it! Thanks and God Bless you!
